Background

After the adaption of the National policy on Information Communication Technology the Liberian government  understood the need for implementing the Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) programs, under the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

To enable government meet the Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) goals set in the MDG, LIBTELCO over the years has been working on strategic plans to support the government of Liberia vision for ICT and Telecommunication sector (Infrastructure development, integrate information and communication technology);

NATIONAL DATA CENTER

A data center is a facility used to host computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls (e.g. air conditioning, fire suppression) and various security devices. A large data center is an industrial-scale operation using as much electricity as a small town.

GovNet (Government Network)

As a global vision for government to give services electronically know as eGovernment.
An eLegislation is defined and eServices have to reach all citizens
digital services for common services, such as national identification cards, passports, deriver’s licenses, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate.

Metro Fiber Ring

WiMAX Deployment (Ring), Monrovia High Speed Data Ring Network (IP Back Haul to Support IP Connectivity & Broadband Fixed Wireless Business Development) -5Ghz
Libtelco will deploy and make operational a High Speed IP Backhaul Data Ring network connecting all existing Tower Sites, thus implementing an “Above Ground High Speed Data Ring” surrounding the City of Monrovia and the outlying areas

E-Finance Network

With the increase in Cyber crime, LIBTELCO has designed secure solutions and ready to work with Banking Institutions and any organization to build secure financial networks.

Today, LIBTELCO is  partnering with the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) in building a National Payment System Network that will carry all financial transactions across players within the financial network of Liberia as needed by CBL.
